Avan is a red wine produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Juan Manuel Burgos in Fuentelcésped (Burgos), D.O. Ribera del Duero.
Bodegas y Viñedos Juan Manuel Burgos was founded in 1996 by Juan Manuel, although his family had already been involved in the wine industry. The first vintage of Avan was produced in 2000 after planting new vines by cloning the vines planted by his grandfather.
It is made with 100% Tempranillo grapes from vineyards located at an altitude of 900 meters, on calcareous soils with sand and clay. Avan is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
