Roche Mazet has magnified this uniqueness through its Grenache Medium Sweet. Vinified in a modern way, it presents a captivating garnet colour with slight ruby reflections. Beautiful notes of fresh fruits can be detected on the nose, followed by a surprising hint of cocoa. On the palate, the flavours of ripe and jammy fruits take centre stage, much to our delight.
To trace the origins of Grenache, we have to head to Spain. From Catalonia to the south of France was only a small step taken by this grape to achieve perfection before traveling further onto more distant lands. Italy, Australia, and even South Africa have hosted this grape in their sunny vineyards, and now Roche Mazet in the Pays d’Oc. Over the years, it has acquired a plethora of names, with wine-loving explorers often finding it under pseudonyms like Lladoner or Rivesaltes.
Its personality varies depending on the terroir in which it develops. Roche Mazet has therefore travelled throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon region to select only Grenache parcels producing fruit that stands for its deep fruitiness and generosity. The Pays d'Oc region shapes red grape varieties to highlight their natural sweetness.
